Supermarket meat cutter

H Mart Port Coquitlam Inc. doing business as H Mart Port Coquitlam has an immediate opening for a full-time and permanent Supermarket meat cutter. Job duties for this position will include:
- Grind meats and slice cooked meats using powered grinders and slicing machines.
- Cut, weigh, package, label, and price meat products for sale.
- Inspect the meat quality and expiry dates and ensure proper product rotation.
- Ensure food quality and food safety.
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment, displays and work area.
- Receive and store merchandise in accordance with the company's established standards.
- Comply with government health and safety standards and occupational health and safety standards.

Position available: 3

The successful candidate will:
- Completion of secondary school may be required.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of working experience as a meat cutter
- On-the-job training in food stores is usually offered to meat cutters for retail sales.

The Benefits will be:
- 4% of gross salary as the vacation pay

The salary to be paid to the successful candidate will be $23.00 per hour plus overtime at the applicable rates set pursuant to the BC Employment Standards Act.

This is a full-time permanent position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work 7-8 hours per day, 5 days a week Monday through Sunday during H Mart Port Coquitlam Inc.’s normal business hours.
