We are currently hiring a full-time Sous Chef for our Oak location who will prepare authentic Vietnamese dishes for customers.

Position Title: Sous Chef
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Positions Available: 1
Wage: $36.60 - $37.60 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)
Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Responsibility:
● Assisting in planning and preparing authentic Vietnamese dishes, with a focus on pho and accompanying menu items.
● Supervising kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, to meet high-quality standards.
● Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
● Monitoring food inventory and coordinating orders to maintain efficient stock levels.
● Training and mentoring kitchen staff to ensure consistency and efficiency.
● Collaborating with management on menu development and introducing new ideas to enhance the dining experience.

Qualification:
● Completion of secondary school is required.
● Completion of a formal culinary program OR 2+ years of experience working in a commercial kitchen as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
● Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and health and safety standards.
● Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
● Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
● Proficiency in English.
