Terms of Employment: Full Time Seasonal 270 days (May 1, 2024 - January 26, 2025)

Wage: $19 Hourly

Benefits Package (If Applicable): Transportation from the ferry to the plant, daily and weekly bonus, weekly overtime, - probably housing* - premium night shift bonus of .75 center per hour

Hours (each week): 32 hours per Week

Location of Work: Walcan Rd, Heriot Bay, BC V0P 1H0

Education: Education is not required

Work Experience: 6-12 months experience

Job duties:
Cut, clean and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing
Weigh, pack, and stack finished product
Fillet and cut fish, remove pin bones, remove skin, portion fish, pack in pouches, add ingredients
Check fish, portions, or fillets to determine optimal pieces, quality, and size according to specifications and place in container for weighing
Pack prawns, herring, roe, trim, and other seafood products by hand by size, quality, and weight and into containers
Unload fish and seafood product from fishing vessels or trucks, and transport them by hand or forklift truck to work area in fish processing plant
Portion and pack fish by-products, roe, and trim according to specifications
Weigh finished products, record weight and pack to specifications
Sort products according to species, weight, quality, and destination
Clean work areas and equipment, Pick up debris and empty trash containers
Transport supplies and packaging materials throughout plant manually or with powered equipment
Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
