Job Duties:
• Supervise each workstation / machine center during the absence of the supervisor.
• Ensure that employees can complete their tasks safely.
• Assist production technicians and operators with the attention to the machine center / workstation when requested.
• Help with the efficiency of covering breaks at different machine centers / workstations.
• Data entries in production tracking systems such as B3, etc.
• Recording of downtime in the absence of the supervisor.
• Safety reporting in the absence of the supervisor.
• Assisting with training production technicians on new machine centers / workstations, and ensuring the proper documentation is kept.
• Follow up with maintenance personnel on the corrective or preventative maintenance of machines in the absence of the supervisor.
• Any other related tasks.

Skills Required:
• Be able to work well in a team.
• Be independent and full of initiative.
• Show vigilance and a concern for health and safety.

Experience Required:
• Several years of prior experience at a sawmill would be an asset.
• Formal company training for a Production Lead Hand and on-the-job training are provided.

Education Required:
• Completion of secondary school.

Wage & Hours: $38.19 - 39.49 / hour
• Number of hours per day: 10
• Number of days per week: 4
• Number of hours per week: 40
• Overtime starts after how many hours: 40
• Shift rotation: 4 10-hour shifts per week, with rotating day off between Monday – Friday (night shift and day shift required)
