New Age Painting & Decorating is actively looking to hire one (1) – Painter for a permanent, full-time position to work at our company located in Hamilton, Ontario, L9C 7G5.

New Age Painting & Decorating services include: Residential and Commercial Interior and Exterior painting, Staircase Painting and Staining, Wood stain and Varnish. Painting of Doors and windows, Custom homes, and kitchen cabinets.

The Painter shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following job tasks:

Job Duties:

• Smooth gouges with wood filler and sand wood
• Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
• Mix paint to desired colour and texture
• Sand metal furniture to prepare for finish and spray with paint or other materials
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics
• Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Select appropriate paint or mix paints

Work conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• Attention to detail
• Hand-eye co-ordination
• Ability to distinguish between colours
• Bending, crouching, kneeling
• Physically demanding

Skills & Experience:

• Relevant work experience is an asset, but not necessary.
• Will provide proper training.

Wage & Hours: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour, 5 days – 40 hours per week. Overtime pays $34.50 - $36.00 after 40 hours per week.

Benefits: 10 days paid vacation per year. 4% Renumeration.
