Job Title: Nail Care Technician (NOC 63211)

Terms of Employment: 30-40 hours per week, Full-time/Permanent

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

Wage: $18.50 -$20.50 Per hour (Depending on experience)

No of Positions: 2

Job Duties:
• Cleaning nails by removing old nail polish, shaping ends.
• Apply new polish to fingernails and toenails.
• Applying acrylic, gel nails, extensions, and nail polish.
• Evaluate the condition of client’s nails and advise on proper nail care and effective nail care treatments.
• Recommend new designs and nail art to clients.
• Sanitize all nail instruments and equipment before and after use.
• Always maintain a clean working environment.
• Assisting clients with questions or concerns about nail treatments.

Skills Requirements

Education:

• No formal education required, if candidates have already had 6 months on the job training combined with the minimum of 1 year experience, as a Nail Care Technician, manicurist, or pedicurist
OR
• Completion of high school

OR
• Completion of a beauty school program or college program for manicurist and pedicurist

Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience is required

***(less experience would be considered for candidates who have completed a beauty school program or college program for manicurist and pedicurist)

Language: Ability to communicate English is required.
