METAL ARTS WORKER

Rent WOW is a Furniture Rental Company that offers furniture and accessories exclusively for the purpose of Home Staging for over 13 years. Our extensive collection of high-end furniture will increase the potential buyers’ appeal to the space and deliver that often missing “WOW factor”. Whether our customers have a staging project right now, or planning to do one in the future, they are always welcome at our largest furniture rental facility in the GTA. The showroom is setup to help find new ideas and designs for any staging project.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
At this time, we are looking to hire an experienced Metal Arts Worker for a full-time, permanent position to help the company sustain our production of metal home decor items.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design wide variety of the decorative metal objects including utensils, wall hangings, sculptures, decorative doors for both indoor and outdoor using copper, pewter and other materials
• Develop the catalog for clients
• Instruct and mentor apprentices in the said skills
• Create the models for demonstration purposes
• Perform melting, hot casting, stamping, pressworking, soldering, electro-plating, enameling, welding, engraving and other metal artwork skills
• Using wide variety of the metals during the work

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma is required, additional education in metal arks work is an asset
Portfolio is required
At least 7 months of hands-on experience as a metal arts worker
Proficiency in English
Excellent organizational, customer service and time management skills
Knowledge of safe handling of the materials

COMPENSATION & CONDITIONS:
• Permanent, full-time position
• 35-hour work week
• $26.50 per hour with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week
• Work location – 6 Bermondsey Rd, Toronto, ON M4B 1Z1
