Light Duty Cleaners

NextGen Construction is a leading firm in the construction industry, known for its commitment to high standards in every project.

We are currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented (2) Light Duty Cleaners to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our office building and premises. If you take pride in your work and are passionate about creating a clean and safe environment, we want you on our team!

Key Responsibilities:

As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for:

• General Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in offices, hallways, and common areas to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
• Surface Cleaning: Dusting and wiping down desks, counters, windowsills, and other surfaces to ensure they are free of dust and smudges.
• Restroom Maintenance: Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors. Restocking necessary supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Trash Removal: Emptying garbage bins, recycling containers, and disposing of waste in designated areas. Ensuring that all trash is removed daily.
• Window Cleaning: Cleaning interior and exterior windows and glass partitions to ensure they are spotless and streak-free.
• Kitchenette/Break Area Cleaning: Wiping down tables, countertops, and appliances in the kitchen or break areas. Restocking items like hand soap and paper towels as needed.
• Supply Management: Monitoring cleaning supplies and informing the supervisor when stock is low, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
• Safety: Following all health and safety regulations to ensure a hazard-free environment. Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Special Projects: Assisting with occasional deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet shampooing, floor waxing, or other projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• No formal education and previous experience required – training would be provided!
• Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role is an asset.
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Reliability and punctuality with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work with different cleaning and disinfecting materials
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and bending.
• Good English language skills.

COMPENSATION:

• Hourly rate: $18.00 per hour for minimum of 30 hours per week;
• Overtime rate: $27.00 per hour after 44 hours of work per week.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• This is a full-time, temporary position with at least 30 hours of work per week;
• Work Location: 2790 Slough St., Unit A1, Mississauga ON L4T1G3
