Duties:

• Examining and replacing (as needed) all laser and machine optics
• Examining and replacing (as needed) all applicable oils
• Examining chiller units and replacing (as needed) water and filters
• Inspecting incoming air supply for contaminants or excess of oils or moisture
• Examining laser mode structure and modify if needed
• Completing optical alignment
• Examining and verifying laser power outputs with external power probe and comparing actual power output to reported values
• Removing dust and debris from electrical cabinets, visually inspecting electrical components for damage or excessive wear
• Inspecting laser generator parameters for deviance from accepted values
• Examining rails and/or racks for damage and/or wear
• Inspecting exhaust systems
• Inspecting material loading system
• Examining/inspecting any other OEM provided optional components

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Laser Electro-Optic Technology
• 5+ years of experience with maintaining and repairing similar equipment and lasers
• 3+ years of experience using and/or repairing TRUMPF 5 Axis Laser machinery and ancillary equipment
• Factory trained on Trumpf CO2 Laser Product Line
• Previous experience as a laser technician
• Previous experience servicing CO2 lasers and out-of-warranty machinery
