ABOUT THE VACANCY

We are currently looking for an experienced Industrial Designer with a unique skillset and experience in the manufacturing metals, windows, panels and curtain walls.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators
• Consult managers and clients to determine requirements for Façade system
• Sketch ideas or create renderings, to provide a visual of window/curtain wall design ideas and present them to clients for feedback and approval
• Examine materials and manufacturing requirements to determine production costs
• Work with other specialists, such as mechanical engineers to improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
• Evaluate product safety, appearance, and function to determine if a design is practical
• Maintain an awareness of current design trends and influences by Research industry literature, attend industry specific tradeshows
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• College diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial design or architecture
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an industrial designer or similar capacity
• Experience in Design & Built, Design and EPC
• Computer literacy, working knowledge of MS Office applications, AutoCAD application and other technical tools
• Result orientated, Delegation, Problem Solving, Planning, Process Management
• High level of integrity and work ethic
• Excellent verbal and writing communication skills

WORK CONDITIONS
• Permanent, full-time position
• $37.00 per hour for 40 hours of work week
