The Scoop Lake base camp is located in Northern BC, just under the Yukon Territory, near Lower Post, BC.

Job Description:
Scoop Lake is a premier hunting and fishing area in North America. We cater to non-resident hunters who wish to experience hunting in the remote, airplane only access regions of N.E. BC.

Scoop Lake Outfitters is looking for five Hunting Guides who can efficiently assist in the daily operations of our camp.

Main Duties include:
• Plan itinerary for trip or expedition and arrange transportation or transport individuals or group to site
• Assemble and inspect necessary equipment and supplies, such as camping gear, rafts, life jackets, fishing tackle, horses, horse tack and food
• Lead or escort individuals or groups and advise on safety and emergency measures, techniques and the use of equipment
• Provide instruction for activities such as horseback riding, horse packing, canoeing, rafting and mountain climbing
• Advise on specific laws and regulations for activities such as hunting, fishing and boating
• Follow environmental guidelines and prevent violations
• Provide first aid in emergency situations
• Preparing meals for group and setting up camp.
• Guiding hunting clients, retrieving and preparing hides and meat for transport and use.

Employment Requirements:
• Completion of high (secondary) school
• 1-2 years’ experience required
• CPR certificate preferred, but not required
• Qualified and passed the BC Assistant Guide License (or ability to pass upon hiring).
