Housekeeping Attendant

The Duffin Cove Oceanfront Lodging has 5 housekeeping attendant vacancies in the Housekeeping Department cleaning guest rooms, and public areas.

Job responsibilities include:

• Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors
• Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
• Make beds, change sheets and distribute clean towels and toiletries
• Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies
• Stock linen closets and other supplies' areas
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Clean and disinfect public areas
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Wash windows, walls and ceilings.
• Report and store lost and found items
• May provide basic information on facilities
• May handle complaints.
• Complete laundry, operate laundry machines and fold towels and linens

Requirements: Previous housekeeping experience is considered an asset but not essential. Able to lift/carry 30 pounds. You must also have the ability to communicate in an English work environment.

These are permanent positions, with full-time hours (30-40 hours per week). We will consider candidates with part-time availability as well. Work will be day shifts of 8 hours and can include weekends and holidays.

Wage offered: $20/hr + tips + dental, health and vision benefits + subsidized accommodation for $300 - $400 monthly.
