Western Hard Chrome is a privately owned Canadian company with a reputation for quality and outstanding service. For over 60 years, we have been known for our innovative services which include machining, grinding and chrome coating.
We are currently seeking a " Hard Chrome Plater" to join our team.

As a Hard Chrome Plater, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Studying engineering drawings and blueprints
• Determining required materials
• Masking and blasting parts to prepare for chrome tanks
• Jigging parts and putting them in chrome tanks
• Determining and preparing velocity and anodes for chrome tanks
• Determining plating time as per customer specifications
• Performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance for chrome tanks
• Utilizing micrometres and bore gauges
• Keeping working areas clean and organized

The successful candidate possesses the following skills and competencies:
• 1+ year of experience working with Hydrometer, Stalagmometer and titration apparatus
• Secondary School Diploma
• Mechanical engineering technology or chemistry background is an asset
• Computer competent
• Able to work in hot environments
• Able to work independently and within a team environment
• Reliable with a good attendance record
• Exceptional time management
• Able to work possible overtime
• Strong work ethic and willing to take initiative
• Must be self-motivated with a willingness and desire to learn job specific skills
• Safety oriented
• Speaks English
