Duties:

• Manage the manufacturing department and provide direction related to overall requirements and managing costs and timelines;
• Direct production and manufacturing staff in optimizing designs;
• Provide direction to the team developing conceptual designs and participate in the review and approval process;
• Establish objectives for the company and formulate or approve policies and programs;
• Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions;
• Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement company policies and programs;
• Establish financial and administrative controls;
• Formulate and approve promotional campaigns;
• Approve overall personnel planning and select middle managers, directors or other executive staff;
• Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments;
• Represent the company, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the company, in negotiations or other official functions;
• Train managers so that they can then provide clear instructions to operators on how to use the jigs and fixtures;
• Oversee the Quality Control and Quality Assurance teams to validate conformance and compliance and configuration control.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in the defense, military, aerospace, and electrical industry including 2+ years of managerial experience;
• Strong working knowledge and first-hand experience related to the tooling and equipment used in the manufacture of electronic and electrical assemblies;
• Experience working with teams to design and build workstations and production lines for specific projects and assembly requirements;
• Experience identifying root cause of any rejections or deficiencies of assemblies;
• Experience developing and implementing corrective action measures as required;
• Experience ensuring that all legal requirements related to health and safety and product liability are followed and maintained;
• Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity;
• Experience with budget and business plan development;
• Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings;
• Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional success.
