THE POSITION:
We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the design, development and testing of electrical aircraft components, test equipment, and electrical systems
• Assist in inspection, testing, adjusting and evaluation of incoming electrical, electro-mechanical and electronic components and assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications and tolerances
• Conduct life tests (burn-ins) on assemblies and record and analyze results
• Install, operate and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and systems
• Calibrate electrical and electronic parts of aircraft components and instruments according to technical manuals and written instructions
• Read and interpret component electrical and layout schematics
• Oversee repairs and modify any errors detected by tests or inspections
REQUIREMENTS:
• Completion of a college program in electrical or electronics engineering technology, computer engineering technology or telecommunications technology
• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Proficiency in electrical schematics and knowledge of current industrial electrical standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Permanent, full-time position
• $34.00 per hour
• 30 hours of work per week
• Occasional overtime may be required for meeting critical deadlines. Overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week and will be remunerated at one and a half time the regular pay rate
• Work location: 14 Strathearn Ave, Unit 25-23, Brampton, ON L6T 4P4.
