Electrical Mechanic

Constantly growing and always looking for outstanding talents, we are now in search for an Electrical Mechanic to join our team of experts.

This is a very hands-on position and the candidate must be able to perform the following:

• Assemble and install machines and equipment as per product specifications;
• Establish routine mechanical maintenance of equipment, especially those of home automation systems on client sites;
• Detect and repair any electro-mechanical issues in components and apparatus to ensure smooth functioning and operating conditions;
• Replace faulty wiring, tubes, shafts and commutators in a timely manner, as needed;
• Conduct assembly and testing of new electrical equipment;
• Rebuild/redesign electrical equipment in case of numerous issues affecting machinery operations and to ensure its functionality;
• Install new systems consisting among others of FANUC Robotics line tracking technology;
• May provide weekly maintenance of machineries on client sites to ensure precision and consistency of production;
• Assess physical and technical security risks by looking at inadequacies within mechanical and electronic systems, recommend possible improvements, and develop policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches;
• Confirm uninterrupted service by ensuring main frame is up-to-date and mechanical control systems are working as per programed measures, or as requested by client;

REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of secondary school with graduation Diploma is required;
AND
• At least 2 years of work experience as Electrical Mechanic, with good understanding of home automation procedures
• Post-secondary certifications/Diplomas in computer science, computer systems, mechanical and electrical studies, or a related discipline is an asset;

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Full-time, permanent position;
• Compensation consists of $27/hour. Applicable overtime pay consisting of 1½ times the regular pay rate will apply after 44 hours of work per week;
• Work week consists of 40 hours depending on amount and complexity of projects.
