Drishti Media Group Ltd is looking for a full-time and permanent Editor at
#205 – 8556 120th Street, Surrey, BC, V3W 3N5. Salary will be $29.00 per hour and 40 hours per week. (Even though this is a full-time and permanent position, part time job seekers are encouraged to apply as well).

Job Description:
• Evaluate eligibility of proposed articles, news drafts and other contents; revise the content, layout and style to be in consistence with DRISHTI magazine’s requirements and principles
• Review and edit all content prior to publish; correct errors in spelling, grammar and syntax, and shorten or lengthen contents to accommodate layout design
• Manage all facets of the day-to-day editorial process for DRISHTI magazine
• Ensure all articles have coherent copy and address all the questions a reader may have
• Develop and secure editorial specific to the needs of readers
• Liaise with design team to assist in the design of the publication
• Follow DRISHTI’s style guide to ensure consistency across all columns
• Coordinate and communicate with staff writers on DRISHTI magazine’s content and creative direction
• Deliver the complete content of DRISHTI magazine to the Publishing Department by set deadlines
Plan and arrange for coverage of upcoming events and assign work accordingly

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in English, French, Journalism or related field is usually required. 2-3 years of experience in journalism, writing, publishing or related field is usually required.
