Canyon Springs Montessori Academy has been striving to provide the best Montessori education and environment for children more than 25 years. We have two locations in Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows, and they share the same curriculum that consists of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language Arts, and Mathematics. Currently, we are looking for Early Childhood Supervisor in our Pitt Meadows Location to start, continue, or expand their careers at Canyon Springs Montessori Academy.
Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Number of Position: 2 Positions
Hourly Wage: $36.60 - $37.60 per hour (depending on work experience)
Working Hours: 6 hours per day, 30 hours per week
Working Location: 18477 Old Dewdney Trunk Road, Pitt Meadows, B.C. V3Y 1Z1
Benefits: 4% vacation pay or 10 business days paid vacation + Extended Medical Insurance after 3 months of employment


Job Duties:
• Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate, Montessori-based programs that support children's physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development;
• Supervise and provide guidance to early childhood educators and assistants to ensure consistent delivery of educational programs and adherence to licensing standards;
• Guide children in activities that foster independence, self-regulation, and exploration in accordance with Montessori principles;
• Monitor and document children's progress through structured observation and developmental assessments;
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that reflects Montessori values and supports child-led learning;
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share developmental updates and encourage involvement in their child’s learning;
• Assist in staff training, performance evaluation, and the implementation of center policies and procedures.

Qualification:
• Completion of a two-to four-year college program in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development is required;
• BC Early Childhood Educator Certificate and Infant and Toddler Educator Certificate is required;
• As this is a supervisory position, 3 years of previous working experience as an Early Childhood Educator, including experience in leading or mentoring staff, is required;
• Practical knowledge and experience with the Montessori philosophy and curriculum is considered a strong asset;
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential;
• A working knowledge of English is required, as the Early Childhood Supervisor will need to work and communicate with staffs, children, parents, and others in English.
