EARLY CHILDHOOD SUPERVISOR - LEVEL 3

RAINBOW EDMONTON DAY CARE located at 450 Woodvale Road East NW, Edmonton, Alberta T6L 6G5 is accepting applications for the position of EARLY CHILDHOOD SUPERVISOR - LEVEL 3 on a permanent, full-time position for 40 hours per week.
$17.95 per hour plus $8.65 top up ($26.60) for Level 3 license applicants.
Completion of college or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years in Early childhood education is required.
Must be approved by Alberta Children Services for a Level 3 license certification is required. 1 year to less than 2 years of work experience in the Daycare is required. Ability to communication in English is required. First Aid certificate and CPR Certificate required
Job description: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical cognitive, emotional and social development of children. Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers. Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts. Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs. Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits. Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor. Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators. Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings. Knowledge of Day Nurseries Act. Knowledge of licensing regulations. Establish guidelines of behaviour. Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children. Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children. Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
