Located in Markham, Ontario, TriStar Gymnastics Club has been a leading destination for aspiring gymnasts since its establishment in 2004. Specializing in competitive gymnastics, the club offers advanced training programs for athletes aged 7 and up, led by highly skilled coaches like National Level 4 Coach July Gershcovich. With a focus on developing strength, flexibility, coordination, and competitive poise, TriStar prepares athletes to excel in provincial, national, and recreational competitions. The club combines high-performance coaching with a supportive environment, emphasizing sportsmanship, determination, and excellence in every program.
The club is now looking to fill a vacant employment position with an experienced Coach to prepare and train our young athletes.
In this capacity, you will be responsible for:
• Assess the strengths and areas for improvement of individual gymnasts and teams through regular evaluations and observations.
• Design, develop, and conduct structured training and practice sessions to enhance gymnasts' skills, physical fitness, and mental resilience.
• Support and cultivate gymnasts' abilities, creating an encouraging and motivating training atmosphere.
• Organize, plan, and manage competitive schedules and programs to align with Tristar Gymnastics' objectives and events calendar.
• Inspire and prepare gymnasts for competitions, focusing on discipline, confidence, and peak performance.
• Develop strategic approaches for competitions, plan routines, and provide direct coaching during events to guide gymnasts.
• Review and assess gymnasts' performances, delivering feedback and adjusting training programs to drive ongoing progress.

Requirements of position:
• A degree in physical education or a related field is considered an asset.
• 3 to 4 years of demonstrated experience as a gymnastics coach.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Compensation/Conditions:
• It is a permanent, full-time position.
• The pay for this position is $34.50 per hour.
• Work week will consist of 30 to 35 hours per week. Occasional overtime pay will apply after 44 hours/week during competitive days.
