ABOUT POSITION
· Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, charts and tables
· Setting up and operating multi-axis tool grinding machines (Computerized Numerical Control tools) to manufacture and re-grind industrial cutting tools
· Programming machines using machine software to manufacture tooling to the required dimensions and tolerances
· Entering program codes to achieve proper feed, speed, and tool path
· Making edits to the program and machine as needed to ensure efficient machining operations and product quality
· Defining and selecting appropriate grinding wheel package for various types of tooling
· Utilizing precision measuring equipment to verify proper dimensions and tolerances are achieved and maintained
· Meeting and maintaining established production standards and quality

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
· Highschool completion is required
· Post-secondary education in mechanics or a related field is an asset
· 2-5 years’ experience setting up and operating CNC grinding machines
· Ability to set up and operate Schneeberger Sirius/Gemini and other multi-axis CNC machines
· Knowledge of cutting tool geometry and grinding methods
· Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment to verify product dimensions and quality
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, charts and tables

· Permanent full-time position
· $30.71 per hour for 40 hours per week
