Currently, we are looking for a full- time Café Manager at our South Common location to join our team.

Position Title: Café Manager
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 1
Wage: $36.60 – $37.60 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)
Working Hours: 30 hours per week
Benefit: 10 business days of paid vacation or 4 % vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Plan, organize, direct, and oversee the overall operations of the café;
• Approve and set staff working schedules and monitor performance;
• Maintain communication with Second Cup head office to ensure brand standards, company policies, and marketing initiatives are effectively implemented;
• Ensure the delivery of food and beverage services as determined by Second Cup head office, and implement the corresponding operational procedures;
• Control and approve inventory, set long-term and short-term sales goals, monitor revenues, and adjust strategies to optimize revenues;
• Negotiate with customers for catering services or facility rentals for events;
• Recruit and select qualified staff, oversee and evaluate staff training programs in alignment with corporate policies and brand guidelines;
• Coordinate with Second Cup head office-approved suppliers for food, beverages, and equipment, and maintain strong supplier relationships;
• Resolve escalated customer complaints and address complex service issues while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations;

Qualifications:
• Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is usually required;
• 2+ years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required;
• Ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills;
• Working knowledge of English.
