We’re Vernon’s only board game café—a welcoming space where guests can enjoy great food,quality drinks, and a curated library of board and card games to play during their visit. We servecoffee, tea, snacks, pastries, and sandwiches, all with friendly, attentive service to make everyvisit a great experience. We’re currently looking for a Café Manager to join our team!

Position Title: Café manager
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 1
Wage: $36.60 - $37.60 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)
Working Hours: 30 hours per week
Benefit: 10 business days of paid vacation or 4 % vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Manage all aspects of the café, ensuring smooth service, quality food and drinks, and awelcoming environment for guests.
• Hire, train, and schedule staff; support performance and foster a positive team culture.
• Handle guest feedback and ensure every visitor receives friendly, attentive service.
• Monitor stock levels, place supply orders, and manage vendor relationships to keep the caférunning efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Work with clients to plan and host private events or receptions at the café.

Qualifications:
• Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage servicemanagement is usually required.
• 2+ years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, arerequired.
• Ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and problem solving skills;
• Working knowledge of English.
