ABOUT VACANCY
At this time, we are looking for an energetic Buyer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter with extensive merchandising experience who enjoys building long-term business relationships.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assume overall responsibility for all procurement activities
• Research, select and purchase quality furniture and décor supplies
• Prepare purchase orders, validate and reconcile suppliers invoices
• Monitor progress of delivery schedules
• Establish and develop key strategic vendor partnerships, source and negotiate best possible terms with both import and domestic vendors, manage vendors database
• Research, analyze and interpret market trends, attend trade shows and other special events
• Ensure adequate stock level is maintained at all times
• Maintain records in accordance with established policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS
• Completion of secondary school
• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business, Marketing or a related field is an asset
• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing and merchandising
• Fluent English
• Excellent communication and negotiations skills

WORK CONDITIONS
- Permanent, full-time position
- $30.00 per hour
- 35 hours of work per week
- Overtime pay ($45.00/ hour) applies after 44 hours of work per week
