Job Description:
A Brickmason is responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other similar materials to construct or repair walls, arches, chimneys, fireplaces and other structures per blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities:
•Prepare and lay bricks, stone, concrete blocks or similar material to build; garden walls, patios, veneer facing, foundations and other structures in residential and commercial construction, firebricks for chimneys and smokestacks.
•Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks using hand and power tools.
•Restore, clean, paint or apply material to fill gaps in existing masonry structures.
•Review drawings and blueprints to calculate and supply proper materials.
•Assemble scaffolding and temporary equipment and structures.

Requirements
•Education - Completion of a three- to four-year post-secondary program (university preferred)
•Ability to provide assistance in the preparation, installation, repair or rebuilding of tile, brick, and stone surfaces.
•Ability to have the knowledge of machinery and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
•Knowledge in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics in order to properly analyze blueprints and drawings.
•Ability to shape, form, and join building materials in a structure or product according to the specifications and plans.

•Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models

•Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
•Willingness to take initiative, ask questions, and ability to take leadership when required
•Ability to have knowledge of use in brick cutting machinery.
•Skilled in constructing Curve Section brick wall.
