Hours of Work: 8:00 am to 5:00pm Monday – Friday at 42.5 hours per week (occasional Saturdays during peak periods)

Duties:

• Remove layers of sub-coating and ensure that paint mixes match desired colour;
• Prepare vehicle for paint by removing dust, debris, rust, etc. from surface;
• Ensure that vehicle components which are not being painted are masked or removed completely prior to painting;
• Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with factory and Company standards;
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper completion of work;
• Understand and follow federal, provincial and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Maintain the order and cleanliness of work areas; be able to account for all Company-owned tools at all times;
• Meet all requirements of state and federal law dealing with automobile repair and consumer protection

Requirements:

• 5+ years of autobody painting experience
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Manual dexterity;
• Ability to distinguish colours;
• Ability to follow all safety procedures;
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities;
• Good visual acuity to assess work performance;
