Job Duties:
Testing and validating the functionality of appliances, computers, TVs, home theater equipment, and various other household electronics.
Observe operation of appliance and conduct voltage, resistance and other tests using electrical test equipment
Replace faulty components
Refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts
Cleaning and final testing items to ensure they are fully operational.
Prepare written estimates of repair costs
Diagnose faults, using testing devices
Repair electrical appliances and components
Use shop equipment and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus to repair, adjust and reprogram appliances
Must be able to dismantle and re-assemble items apart and methodical in nature to ensure everything goes back together properly.
Cleaning and decontamination of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment that was exposed to water, fire and other contaminates. This included the disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and testing of the equipment. Required to perform these services across Canada on a moment’s notice.
