JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
1. Embrace and embody the rich African hairstyling heritage by flawlessly installing and maintaining a variety of traditional and modern dreadlock styles.
2. Innovate by handcrafting dreadlocks human and synthetic hair extensions from scratch, paying homage to the scarcity and value of this art form.
3. Demonstrate expertise in retightening dreadlocks swiftly without compromising quality or precision.
4. Master the intricate techniques of installing microlocs and sisterlocs with speed and finesse, honouring the importance of these styles.
5. Execute rapid and flawless reties of microlocs, ensuring a seamless and durable finish.
6. Create stunning and culturally significant goddess and trending braids swiftly, blending tradition and modernity.
7. Perform quick and precise pixie cuts on natural hair and extensions, infusing each style with African flair.
8. Perfect the art of Ghana weaving and feed-in cornrows within record time, adding a touch of African elegance to every braid.
9. Showcase expertise in crafting Ebira cornrows and Didi with speed and mastery, celebrating the unique beauty of African hairstyling traditions.
10. Utilize knowledge of African hair, culture, and historical hairstyling practices to offer clients a unique and authentic experience.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in African hair styling, focusing on traditional techniques and cultural heritage.
2. Proven ability to work efficiently and deliver high-quality results within tight timeframes.
3. Deep understanding of African hairstyling practices and a passion for preserving and elevating these traditions.
4. Excellent time management skills and the ability to complete intricate styles within accelerated timelines.
5. Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach to styling, ensuring client satisfaction in every hairstyle.
6. Proficiency in selling hair originating from Africa, with a keen understanding of African hair products' quality and cultural significance.
7. Ability to educate clients on African hair practices and the importance of preserving traditional styling methods.
8. Knowledge of how Africans prefer their hair styled, drawing inspiration from historical practices and cultural norms to create authentic client experiences.
