Vespa-Packaging Engineers Ltd. has immediate opening for experienced 2 Machinists (TEER: 72100) at our location in Brampton, Ontario.

As a Machinist (TEER: 72100), you will perform some or all of the following duties:

• Ability to verify dimensions of machined parts or tooling using micrometers, verniers, callipers, height gauges, optical comparators
• Exceptional in measuring, examining and testing of completed machines in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using instruments
• Selecting the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
• Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, height gauges and other measuring devices
• Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor
• Complete and maintain inspection reports.
• Efficient in aligning large parts and secure onto holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
• Attentive monitoring the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a four-year apprenticeship program or minimum 4 years of experience as a machinist, tool and die maker or machining tool operator is required.

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $ 28.85 / hour
