Vangelo Footwear has been one of the largest footwear wholesalers in Canada who imports footwear from Asia and US, and supplies footwear lines for Men, Women as well as Kids worldwide. We are hiring an experienced wholesale Procurement Specialist to work in our head office in Etobicoke, Ontario. The selected candidate will take a leadership role in sourcing, selecting, and negotiating all purchases of products supplies.<br>Position Details:<br>Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible<br>Terms of Employment: Full-time (30-40hr/week)<br>Rate: $ 30-33/hr<br>Location: 5 Woodbine Downs Boulevard, Unit #2 Toronto, ON M9W6N5 Canada</p><p>Duties and Responsibilities:<br>• Process purchase orders, schedule deliveries, monitor the item status, and ensures complete transport of goods or services<br>• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers with the capability to supply the correct products for the company<br>• Monitor purchase orders to ensure the timely delivery of goods and be able to quickly identify substitute goods for urgent orders.<br>• Interact and negotiate with the suppliers the contract terms of agreement and pricing<br>• Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses;<br>• Responsible for all facets of purchasing &amp; ensuring proper inventory levels of stock items are maintained<br>• Supplier sourcing, negotiations, and cost-savings control<br>• Travel internationally to visit suppliers and resolve problems arising<br>Requirements:<br>• A bachelor’s degree is required.<br>• Minimum 5 years of related procurement or purchasing in clothing or footwear experience is required.<br>• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to lead and conduct contract negotiation in support of diversified, complex, and potentially long-term agreements to the mutual satisfaction of all parties.<br>• Excellent supplier management skills including the ability to build, develop and retain networks.<br>• Must be work independently as well as within the cross-function environment to provide guidance to less experienced team members.<br>• A strong background in software products is preferred.<br>• Profound and extensive networking of purchasing from Asia-Pacific region is preferred.<br>• Be able to communicate in Chinese is an asset<br>• Must be flexible to travel internationally for work (work related travel will be paid)</p>
