Tour Guide Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

<p>

</p><p>Supervisory Responsibilities Include but not limited to:</p><p>-Supervise the development and compliance of all policies and procedures as needed.<br>-Develop and implement training schedule, equipment repair and store strategies to ensure the shop operates efficiently<br>-Ensure customer issues are managed appropriately.<br>-Supervise shop staff, including hiring, scheduling, training, and performance reviews.<br>-Monitor and maintain quality control systems, including equipment maintenance productivity and staff efficiency<br>-Participate in events coordination<br>-Interviewing and hiring staff<br>-Developing, maintaining and creating new tours<br>-Developing training plans in the offseason to provide adequate training for staff in the Spring.<br>Tour Guide Responsibilities:</p><p>-Leading clients on Water Sports Tour Excursions<br>-Teaching clients from beginner to advanced levels on certain water sports<br>-Fitting clients with safety equipment<br>-Monitoring all safety regulations and practices<br>-Narrating during the tour of all historical, interesting and relevant facts<br>-Terms of Employment: Full-Time</p><p>Language of Work: English</p><p>Wage: $21.25 per hour</p><p>Benefits: basic medical benefits</p><p>Location of Work: Vancouver, British Columbia</p><p>Contact Information: Email info@vancouverwateradventures.com</p><p>Skills Requirements:</p><p>Certifications:</p><p>-Paddle Canada Stand up Paddle Instructors certification<br>-Paddle Canada level 1 skill Sea Kayak certification or equivalent<br>-80 hr first aid (OFA level 3 or wilderness first responder)<br>Required Work Experience:</p><p>-4-5 years of tour guiding experience or equivalent relevant experience<br>-2 seasons of experience managing people<br>Other:</p><p>All applicants must possess the following Character Qualities:<br>-Enjoy working as a team yet more than capable to handle tasks alone<br>-Outgoing, highly motivated, punctual, friendly, approachable and HARDWORKING<br>-Passionate about showcasing Vancouver’s beauties and landscape to tourists/locals alike<br>-Maintain an understanding of safety regulation importance<br>-Self-motivated, competent, confident and empathetic<br>-Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with other employees, customers, and the general public<br>Required Qualifications:</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>-Strong organizational skills and ability to delegate and prioritize while managing multiple projects simultaneously<br>-Commitment to open and direct communication<br>-Demonstrated understanding of financial responsibility</p>
