Telecommunications Technician

</p><p>Duty:<br> Meet with clients and discuss type, quality, and quantity of products or services required<br> Test, install, terminate, splice telecommunication equipment including data and voice network equipment, CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, speaker, IP communication system<br> Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable, coaxial cable, Internet and Home Phone service and ensure all the work is completed to standards<br> Conduct diagnostic assessment after installation to determine the proper functionality of the units and locate transmission faults<br> Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair system, network, and associated equipment and software<br> Provide basic training to the clients regarding appropriate use, performance and maintenance of the systems installed<br> Work at heights and operate mobile elevating work platforms<br> Safely use power tools like impact driver, hammer drill, jig saw, and hand tools like screwdriver, handsaw, crimping tools, and tubing cutter<br> Oversee training and supervise entry-level team members</p><p>Requirement:<br> Completion of secondary school is required.<br> 1-2 years or more experience in Telecommunications Service and Installation<br> Valid driver’s license<br> Previous commercial experience is an asset.<br> Work at height</p>
