</p><p>Vacancies: 3<br>Job location: 3601 Lawrence Avenue East Unit 11, Scarborough, ON M1G 1P5</p><p>Job responsibilities include:<br>- Fit and study garments on customers to determine required alterations using tape measure<br>- Sew clothing using needles, thread and/or sewing machine<br>- Work with embroidery, sewing beads, laces, stones and other decorative ornaments that go on the traditional South Asian clothing<br>- Design different patterns to client’s liking and alter it accordingly<br>- Remove stitches from garments to be altered, using rippers and/or razor blades<br>- Prepare unique sample clothing to display in the store<br>- Sew in buttons and button holes when needed<br>- Fit, alter, repair and make made-to-measure clothing according to customer’s specifications<br>- Estimate the cost of the clothing to prepare based on factors such as time and material requirements<br>- Put in padding and shaping materials when needed<br>- Mark, cut and sew fabric while also have knowledge on altering and repairing the clothing as required</p><p>Work experience: 7 months to less than 1 year is required</p><p>Education: Completion of secondary school required</p>
