</p><p><br>Employer: Wazo Furniture<br>Position: Supply Chain Manager<br>Terms of Employment: Permanent / Full Time<br>Location: Toronto, Ontario<br>Work Address: 140 Wendell Ave, North York, ON, M9N 3R2<br>Hours of Work: 30 hours per week<br>Language: English<br>Benefits: Eligible for discretionary bonuses and increases in salary.<br>Salary: $42.05/hour to $45.05/hour<br>Contact: robbin@wazofurniture.com</p><p>Wazo’s Supply Chain Operations Team is looking for a candidate with a strong inventory audit skill and a proven record of accomplishments in financial accounting and reporting while working with internal and external order management teams. The ideal candidate should also have prior supply chain related experience and trade compliance knowledge in North America and Asia. Proven project management skills, attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills are necessary for this role.</p><p>Duties:</p><p>• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the purchasing activities<br>• Work with the buyer to develop purchasing policies and procedures and control purchasing department budget.<br>• Evaluate vendors’ qualification, work with buyer to conduct factory audit.<br>• Evaluate the cost of furniture and vendor service allowing for production timelines to be met and quality control<br>• Negotiate or oversee the negotiation of logistic contracts<br>• Review and process claims against suppliers<br>• Monthly reporting to finance on rolling 12-month horizon purchase plans and budget to actuals reporting on purchases.<br>• Lead the inventory audit process for all warehouses and ensure warehouses are compliant with corporate financial accounting policies.<br>• Support Demand Planning in developing a monthly inventory outlook.<br>• Work with International business units in managing inventory targets.<br>• Assist and manage the Supply Chain P&L and Balance Sheet during monthly close.<br>• Systems management (MOQ, lead times, safety stocks, costs, and purchase prices), Solve and recalculate the system to establish shorts, risks, and excess.<br>• Cost management and cost analysis, performance reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, cost saving, improvement programs and working with cross-functional partners to improve financial performance.<br>• Daily inventory assessments to determine shorts, risks and excess to maintain optimal inventory levels across channels.<br>• Assess replenishment and supply error by SKU in vendor performance and define sufficient safety stock.<br>• Place purchase orders to carry adequate safety stock.<br>• Monthly obsolescence and aged inventory report.<br>• Vendor management and compliance responsibilities and monthly vendor compliance reporting to manager.<br>• Work with senior accountant on inventory audit.<br>• Travel internationally as required.</p><p>Requirements:</p><p>• Bachelor’s Degree is required<br>• 3-5 years of experience as a purchasing agent, associate or officer (or equivalent) is required<br>• Prior experience in supply chain/inventory advisory/management.<br>• Experience in North America and Asia markets considered an asset<br>• Knowledge of ERP Systems.<br>• Solid knowledge of accounting principal: GAAP & IFRS. Demonstrated ability to lead inventory audit.<br>• Ability to work directly with various teams including accounting, sales, customer service, operations and logistic.<br>• Broad working knowledge of trade compliance<br>• Ability to travel internationally (e.g. USA, Asia, etc.)<br>• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Suite skills.<br>• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.</p>
