</p><p>Employer: Banjara Indian Cuisine<br>Position: Specialty Chef<br>Terms of Employment: Permanent / Full Time<br>Location: Toronto, Ontario<br>Hours of Work: 40 hours per week<br>Language: English<br>Benefits: Eligible for discretionary bonuses and increases in salary. Eligible for extended health care<br>insurance. $300.00/month bonus for scheduling staff.<br>Salary: $25.00/hour<br>Contact: banjaracuisine@gmail.com</p><p>Duties:</p><p>• Prepare and cook South Indian and North Indian cuisine<br>• Prepare and cook individual dishes<br>• Ensure the quality of food and determine size of food quantity;<br>• Prepare the dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances including pans and cooking utensils are clean to avoid cross contamination;<br>• Inspect kitchen and food service areas and instruct night cleaning staff for cleanliness;<br>• Maintain inventory and records of food supplies;<br>• Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff;<br>• Create new recipes;<br>• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food; and<br>• Scheduling kitchen staff, when necessary.</p><p>Requirements:</p><p>• 3 years of experience as a chef/cook<br>• Experience cooking in a traditional Indian restaurant<br>• In depth knowledge of traditional North and South Indian cooking methods<br>• In depth knowledge of traditional North and South Indian cuisine and spices<br>• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure<br>• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills</p>
