Candidate is eligible for medical, dental, basic life insurance, option to participate in RRSP, option to participate in ESPP (employee share purchase plan), company discounts.<br>Salary: $55,000 to $60,000<br>Contact: careers@canadagoose.com</p><p>Duties:</p><p>The Special Projects Legal Department Coordinator is responsible for providing timely and effective legal and compliance administrative support on a wide range of matters in a fast-paced environment. Moreover, the individual is responsible for managing various projects and new initiatives including leading a team to create a proprietary system to maintain company contracts. Specifically, the Special Projects Legal Department Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining an Invoice Tracking System and a Contract Approval System, specific to Canada Goose’s needs. In addition, the Special Projects Legal Department Coordinator will take a leading role in operating Canada Goose’s anti-counterfeit program.</p><p>• Provide support to the entire legal team comprising 3 lawyers<br>• Manage tracking, monitor notifications and renewals for all current contracts pursuant to cross-business needs<br>• Assist the legal team in fulfilling its responsibilities to the Board of Directors by carrying out corporate governance related tasks and preparing related materials<br>• Assist the legal team with the documents and processes required as a public company<br>• Prepare, review and proofread contracts, lease reviews and negotiations for all departments and all countries within the organization<br>• Primary responsibility for the Contract Approval Process and that it is enforced across the company globally to ensure compliance with legal procedures in internal controls requirements<br>• Maintain Canada Goose’s current Contract Approval System using Microsoft Excel to ensure company’s efficient response to ad-hoc requests on specific contracts from various departments and auditors<br>• Lead the Contract Approval System Project for Canada Goose to design and create a proprietary system to maintain contracts<br>• Collaborate with vendors on behalf of company to “demo” various software for a proprietary Contract Approval System Project<br>• Lead the implementation of Contract Approval System, build required system workflows, train relevant departments on it and ensure maintenance is completed when necessary<br>• Pursue IP enforcement globally in order to protect company IP<br>• Track and help operate Canada Goose’s anti-counterfeit strategy<br>• Identify counterfeit products in aid of enforcement actions<br>• Manage the invoicing requirements of the department as required by the accounting team and internal controls and maintain current Invoice Tracking System<br>• Interact with internal and external clients to resolve routine legal issues<br>• Implement and maintain internal controls mandated for the legal team<br>• Ensure that internal and external customers adhere to company policies and procedures as required<br>• General administrative duties including drafting letters and other correspondence, answering phones, printing and scanning documents, reviewing and processing legal invoices and other administrative duties<br>• Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures and review, evaluate and implement new procedures<br>• Establish work priorities, delegate work to office service departments (e.g. IT, AP, etc.), and ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed<br>• Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records<br>• Co-ordinate and plan for office services, such as accommodation, relocations, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services<br>• Conduct analyses and oversee administrative operations related to budgeting, contracting and project planning and management processes<br>• Assist in preparation of the legal operating budget and maintain budgetary controls<br>• Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence</p><p>Requirements:</p><p>• Completion of Secondary School is required<br>• Completion of Post-Secondary Education is considered an asset<br>• 3 to 5 years of experience in an administrative role<br>• 1 year of experience in a legal environment<br>• Contract Management experience is required<br>• Experience implementing and managing a contract management tool<br>• Project Management Experience is required<br>• Experience administering a counterfeit program and identifying counterfeit products<br>• Experience managing various relationships across departments and entities in a global company.<br>• Familiar with a variety of legal concepts, practices, and procedures, with special emphasis on corporate commercial work and intellectual property matters</p><p>Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:<br>• Comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook and PowerPoint<br>• Ability to prioritize and work under multiple deadlines and for multiple lawyers<br>• High level of detail orientation and organizational skills<br>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<br>• Passionate about the Canada Goose story</p>
