We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team.</p><p>Job title: sewing machine operator</p><p>Location: 526 W Pender St. Vancouver, BC, V6B 1V3</p><p>Email: Almabridalresume@gmail.com</p><p>Number of vacancies: 2<br>Shift: 35 Hours/ Week<br>Hourly rate: $ 24 CAD<br>Main Duties<br>• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabric, ultra soft or synthetic fabric to produce or repair garments and other articles<br>• Operate fur sewing machines to join fur pelt strips to required size and shape and join pelts into garment sections or shells<br>• Operate serging machines to sew and overcast edges of material simultaneously<br>• Operate tackers, pocket setters, buttonhole makers and fusing, hemmer and other machines to perform various operations in the fabrication of garments and other articles<br>• Record accurately the materials used, maintenance performed and number of pieces completed during each shift, keeping each of these metrics within target ranges<br>• Assisting customers in fitting dresses which are made or altered<br>• Draw threads through needles and adjust machine functions to meet the requirements of the sewing project<br>• Ensure that the finished product conforms to the design and merchandising instructions provided in the work order<br>• Monitor machines for symptoms of metal fatigue or motor failure, and may have to perform minor repairs on the spot<br>Qualifications &amp; skills:<br>• At least secondary school education<br>• Experience in operating sewing machine( 1-2year)</p>
