</p><p>FoodyMart is a supermarket chain offering comprehensive grocery products including meats, frozen seafood, fresh produce, dried goods and household goods. Since 2001, we have been committed to providing our customers with the newest and most varied grocery options driven by our "Sincere Service" philosophy. We have now grown to eight large-scale Chinese supermarket stores serving the Greater Toronto Area and have become one of Toronto's largest Chinese supermarket retail enterprises.</p><p>FoodyMart Warden (2176407 Ontario Inc.) is looking for a Senior Retail Buyer - Household Goods to conduct specialized purchasing activities to expand our non-food household goods and consumer product selection. The work location will be at 355 Bamburgh Circle, Scarborough, ON M1W 3Y1. This position is full-time, permanent, with an annual salary of $48,000.</p><p>Responsibilities：</p><p>• Sourcing "best value" household goods through international suppliers, especially from China.</p><p>• Prepare monthly purchase analysis and inventory review, determine purchasing needs for all non-food household categories, and coordinate with our department manager to make purchase plans.</p><p>• Conduct market research and ensure all selected suppliers, vendors, manufacturers are up to FoodyMart's strict standards for quality, efficiency, value, and stock status.</p><p>• Perform cost analysis with a thorough understanding of cost factors. Negotiate with potential suppliers, vendors, manufacturers to request price quotes, sample testing products, evaluate and analyze results.</p><p>• Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to discuss pricing, discounts and payment terms, and shipping /delivery methods and ensure favorable pricing and credit terms for all purchases, which aim for stable long-term supply partnerships where possible.</p><p>• Regularly place purchase orders for FoodyMart stock items, keep on top of inventory levels and replenish stock as needed, adjust stock items as necessary.</p><p>• Frequent travelling to China to attend trade shows and visit vendors/manufacturers to source trending brands and new product lines to add to FoodyMart's existing household goods and consumer products selection.</p><p>• Communicate frequently with suppliers, vendors, manufacturers, and other external contacts on various purchasing issues and submits claims/returns to manufacturers.</p><p>Requirements:</p><p>• College diploma or equivalent experience</p><p>• Six or more years of experience in purchasing and sourcing for household goods and consumer products worldwide, and with vetting vendors according to company standards</p><p>• In-depth knowledge in sourcing for a wide variety of household and consumer products, for the categories, including but not limited to home hardware, kitchen supplies and small appliances</p><p>• Enormously familiar with consumption habits and trends in household and consumer goods to a Chinese demographic</p><p>• Well maintained existing networks with household and consumer goods vendors/manufacturers in China</p><p>• Able to launch potential new SKUs to FoodyMart in a short timeframe</p><p>• Fluent spoken and written Mandarin</p>
