Security Technician

</p><p>JobScout Staffing is on the hunt for an experienced Security Technician for an exciting full-time position in Calgary, AB.</p><p>You will install, program, troubleshoot, maintain, train, and prepare customers on their new security system.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>Installing a variety of CCTV systems, alarm systems, and access control systems for commercial and residential customers;<br>Use your expertise and understanding of electronics to overcome challenges and integrate multiple security solutions together;<br>Low voltage cabling, Cat5e/Cat6, Banana cable;<br>Working with complex specs, manuals, drawings, and diagrams to complete installations, troubleshooting, and repairs;<br>Working with the sales team to provide best in class security solutions, offering solutions to problems, and potential upgrade paths;<br>Takes ownership to provide the best customer experience possible;<br>Drive to various sites daily and pick up materials from warehouse/office as needed;<br>Communicates well with the management team on project updates and keeps an organized log on project installation status under minimal supervision.</p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>Attitude is everything and requires an individual to constantly be learning and giving their best daily;<br>Driven self-starter that can work well with minimal supervision;<br>Must have the ability to drive around the Calgary area and holds a valid drivers license;<br>Certification in related field or trade experience - electrical or low voltage;<br>Computer, mechanical, and electrical aptitude is required;<br>Experience/skills related to building automation, fire alarm systems, and electronic security is considered an asset;<br>Must be eligible to work in Canada.</p>
