We are seeking line workers in our processing facility."</p><p>We are currently seeking to hire 5 poultry preparers – meat packing plant</p><p>Benefit: 2 weeks annual vacation<br>Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible<br>Location: 37451 Dashwood Rd, Dashwood, Ontario, N0M 1N0<br>Details of this position:<br>• Monday to Friday, with seasonal over-time on Saturday’s<br>• Permanent, Full time<br>• 40 hours a week Minimum<br>• $18/hour<br>• Housing available<br>• Long-term Disability benefits, Medical benefits, Dental benefits, Other benefits</p><p>Requirements of this position:<br>• Work on a production line, in a refrigerated area, packaging meat products as directed by Lead Hand;<br>• Loading and reloading crates carrying livestock, Lifting 5-10 lbs repetitively, and up to 50lbs;<br>• Evisceration of poultry; remove inedible parts, remove feathers and operate vacuum gun for fine evisceration;<br>• Wash poultry to prepare for further processing or packaging;<br>• Manual deboning by using a knife;<br>• Trimming excess bone, fat, bruises or other blemishes from poultry;<br>• Cut poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or other wholesale use;<br>• Grind meat, and processing meat for creation of sausages and burgers;<br>• Follow Health and Safety Guidelines to maintain a safe work environment;<br>• Perform assigned duties and advise Lead Hand of any production or quality issues as they arise;<br>• Adhere to all other food safety practices as established to ensure safe, quality products are manufactured;<br>• Able to follow regular daily routines. Also, able to work without direct supervision when tasks have been thoroughly defined;<br>• Packing, sorting, or placing of raw products;<br>• Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently; assemble cardboard boxes and lids; load equipment with product; ensure proper labelling; and<br>• Perform any other task assigned and necessary on the farm by the Lead hand.</p><p>What will you need?<br>• 1 year experience minimum working as a poultry preparer<br>• Experience with handling a knife for de-boning of poultry or evisceration is preferred;<br>• Experience with electric pump cart is an asset;<br>• Work under pressure; Repetitive tasks;<br>• Handling heavy loads up to 50lbs;<br>• Physically demanding;<br>• Hand-eye co-ordination;<br>• Standing for extended periods; Bending, crouching, kneeling</p><p>Work Location &amp; Environment Information<br>Rural area; Wet/damp; Odours; Cold, Noisy</p>
