Natural Hoof Care Practitioner (Farrier)

<strong>Frontier Horse Company</strong>&nbsp;is looking for a <strong>Natural Hoof Care Practitioner</strong>&nbsp;in Quesnel, B.C.<br><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong><br>- Apply specialized trimming techniques on barefooted horses<br>- Recognize diseases of the hoof: founder, acute laminitis vs subclinical laminitis, navicular, contraction,<br>abscesses, quittor, white line disease (WLD), etc<br>- Safe horse handling and basic horsemanship<br>- Educate clients how diet and lifestyle can affect the hoof and propose lifestyle and diet changes.<br><strong>Educational requirement:</strong>&nbsp;College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, OR equivalent experience.<br><strong>Related experience:</strong>&nbsp;1-2 years of experience in Hoof Care of barefooted horses<br><strong>Wage offered:</strong>&nbsp;28.00 per hour for 30 hours/week, Permanent, Full Time.<br><strong>Business address:</strong>&nbsp;2195 Rawlings Rd., Quesnel, British Columbia, V2J 7E2<br>Submit resume via E-MAIL to freerangehorse@gmail.com.
