We provide our equipment for numerous industries, including, but not limited to: metal and plastic processing companies, food production, packaging, medical and automotive businesses, etc. Our mission is to provide profitable conditions for customers by offering them our top-quality products at a reasonable price and continuously improve our services through innovations and customer-oriented approach.</p><p>CURRENT OPPORTUNITY:<br>We are now looking to hire a professional Mechanical Engineering Technologist with previous experience in mechanical equipment and system design. The ideal candidate would have the necessary skills to successfully perform the following duties:<br>• Prepare and suggest mechanical and power system and machine designs, models and drawings and present them to Professional Engineers;<br>• Serve as the first point of contact for all issues concerning mechanical systems design – equipment manufacturing;<br>• Conduct site visits to test and troubleshoot manufactured machines and materials being used to ensure performance and strength;<br>• Monitor, oversee and inspect all mechanical equipment installation projects;<br>• Report any sub-standard job quality and suggest processes that may optimize work results;<br>• Recommend new machine specifications to re-design old mechanical equipment and ensure they are environmental friendly and efficient;<br>• Provide timely solutions to project specific issues, including technical and manufacturing-related issues;<br>• Initiate preliminary preventative maintenance and implement management systems under supervision of Professional Engineer;<br>• Maintain and maximize efficiency of mechanical systems used in projects to decrease maintenance and repair costs;<br>• Assist Professional Engineer in preparing for compliance and audit reporting as per provincial and federal standards;<br>• Coach and train other mechanical technologists and technicians, especially newly hired, in performing the above-listed duties.</p><p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS:<br>• At least Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required;<br>• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity working with heavy general machining engineering, design, installation and inspection;<br>• Excellent time management and organizational skills;<br>• Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD;<br>• Understanding of Inventor &amp; Solid works operation;<br>• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;<br>• Superior problem-solving and analytical skills;<br>• Ability to think independently;<br>• Detail oriented and manual dexterity;<br>• Good command of English language and excellent communication skills.</p><p>EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:<br>• Permanent, full-time position<br>• Compensation: $30.00 per hour<br>• Work week: 40 hours<br>• Overtime rate: $45.00 per hour, applicable after 44 hours/ week<br>• Vacation: 10 paid days after 12 months of work at the company<br>• Work location: 215 Drumlin Circle, Concord, ON L4K 3E4<br>• Please note that you will also be asked to travel around Ontario for mechanical equipment inspection/ installation projects</p>
