Meat Packager<br>SOUTH SEAS ENTERPRISES (2) LTD.<br>Unit 201 7750 128 Street Surrey, British Columbia Canada V3W 0R6<br>Salary: $14.60 -$15.60 per hour for 40 hours per week<br>Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, Part time, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours<br>Start Date: As soon as possible<br>Language: English<br>Minimum Education: None<br>Positions Available: 05<br>NOC Group: Labourers in Food, Beverage and Tobacco Processing (9617)<br>NOC Job Title: Meat Packager<br>Job Location(s)<br>Unit 201 7750 128 Street Surrey, British Columbia Canada V3W 0R6<br>Job Description<br>South Seas Enterprises located at Unit 201 7750 128 Street Surrey, British Columbia Canada V3W 0R6 is currently hiring five Meat Packagers.<br>Job Duties<br>• Manually pack meats into bags and boxes<br>• Check products and packaging for basic quality defects<br>• Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials throughout the warehouse<br>• Clean, sweep and vacuum product spills and clean up work areas<br>• Stack bags on pallets and transport them to the designated lots<br>• Check products and packaging for basic quality defects and make necessary corrections<br>• Inspect skids and wrap pallets on wrapping machine<br>• Perform basic quality control, including bag seal checks to ensure the quality of products while receiving, storing, and shipping<br>• Move, stack and pack finished material<br>• Inspect and clean equipment and tools before and after use<br>• Stack smaller bags in a box or pallet<br>Employment Requirements<br>• Completion of secondary school is desirable, but not necessary<br>• No prior experience is necessary. On the job training will be provided<br>• Ability to communicate in basic English as this is a common language used at workplace<br>• Ability to stand for extended period of time<br>• Ability to work effectively in cold, wet, odour and noisy environment<br>• Ability to work in odour environment for entire shift<br>• Ability to work with coverall on<br>Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities<br>Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling<br>Benefits<br>As per BC Employment Standards act, 10 days paid vacation annually or 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each period.<br><br></p>
