Candidate is eligible for medical, dental, basic life insurance, option to participate in RRSP, option to participate in ESPP (employee share purchase plan), company discounts.<br>Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per year<br>Contact: careers@canadagoose.com</p><p>Duties:<br>• Procure and coordinate speciality and proprietary trims branded with company trademarks<br>• Assess requirements of the Design team’s intent and seasonal briefs and develop specifications for materials and supplies to be purchased<br>• Consult with suppliers and review initial quotations for new Trim coordination<br>• Collaborate with the design team to identify new trim concepts and trends in the marketplace<br>• Research and provide suitable sources for new trim developments (aligned with material strategy) and coordinate with suppliers to execute the design team’s vision into a trims package which meet commercial needs of the brand.<br>• Partner with the Design team to initiate and manage all trims developments for the respective material focus area together with suppliers<br>• Analyze and interpret development test results based on development specifications and initiate determined course of action<br>• Develop and maintain partnerships with nominated suppliers on ongoing developments, coordinating and engaging them in the trims development deliverables, requirements and expectations.<br>• Ensure all developments are commercialized timely and successfully while adhering to the trims developments process and calendar timeline<br>• Provide clear communication of adoption rates and seasonal development status to Manager<br>• Coordinating the presentation of a Trims suite to the design team bi-annually that support the design team’s vision and business need<br>• Collaborating with the assistant developer to coordinate, create, maintain and publish materials standard sheets for all new developments capturing all key information i.e., quality standards, test methods and commercial information, pertaining to the item.<br>• Participate and host supplier meetings with cross functional teams including the Design team<br>• Collaborating with the planning and procurement teams to ensure on time placement of sales sample materials requirements.<br>• Lead item set-up in both Product-Lifecycle-Management(PLM)/Enterprise-Resource-Planning (ERP) data bases and maintenance of correct data in PLM/ERP, to ensure accuracy of system, assisting in building of Bill-of-Material’s (BOM’s) and procurement driven business transaction.<br>• Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of internal and external factory capabilities through biannual factory visits<br>• Build and maintain a close relationship with cross functional teams such as the Design, Marketing, Merchandising, Product Engineering, Development and Raw Materials Quality teams.<br>• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically<br>• Consulting with the design team on development of all trims in the accessories and apparel product range<br>• Assess requirements of product designs and develop specifications for materials to be purchased<br>• Partner with other teams to determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions and recommend contract awards<br>• Hiring, training, and supervising of Associate Material Developers</p><p>Requirements:<br>• University degree or college diploma in a relevant field<br>• 2-3 years of experience in Trims, Raw Materials or related field<br>• Knowledge of trims development process, textiles, molding, material construction finishes and printing<br>• Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic workflow<br>• Attention to detail, problem solving capabilities, and multi tasking<br>• Ability to anticipate problems, offers solutions, and address issues with materials to meet the Design team’s aesthetic goals and financial targets<br>• Experience working with suppliers in the trims industry<br>• Comfortable working with x-functional teams, including merchandising, purchasing, forecasting and quality assurance<br>• Previous experience in MS Office, Illustrator, and PLM is an asset<br>• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically</p>
