Life Skills Coach - Gutti Household

<p></p><p>We are currently looking for a full-time, experienced Life Skills Coach to provide compassionate support and assistance for our son. Our greatest priority is ensuring that he has the tools and techniques available to him to manage his day-to-day activities and increase his overall independence.</p><p>The ideal candidate would have excellent experience in motivating children and enforcing positivity through effective plans of actions.</p><p>The main duties and responsibilities of the position will include:</p><p>● Establish a rapport and ongoing connection with our son<br>● Identify our son’s personal strengths, struggles, and needs<br>● Assist our family in developing plans of action to assist our son in addressing his goals<br>● Organize and implement strategies for improved communication, attentiveness, education, anger/aggression management, and phobia management - both in the home and at school<br>● Provide ongoing assessment of progress by tracking behavioural changes and tailor coaching accordingly to provide maximum support<br>● Participate in the selection of appropriate supplementary programs<br>● Assist our family in liaising with school staff and health care providers involved in our son’s care to provide information and feedback on his progress</p><p>What we are looking for:</p><p>● At least 2 years of experience working in life skills coaching or a related field, with at least 1 year working with children age 7 – 14<br>● Completion of a secondary school diploma, relevant training certificates are an asset<br>● First Aid and CPR certification<br>● Excellent organization and interpersonal skills<br>● Ability to create a positive learning environment<br>● Strong work ethic including reliability, punctuality and good judgement<br>● Excellent English communication skills<br>● Experience utilizing music and art as therapeutic tools is an asset</p><p>Compensation and Conditions:</p><p>● Permanent, full-time position<br>● $24.10 per hour for 30-35 hours of work per week<br>● Location of work: 1271 Lawson Road, London, ON<br>● Occasional travel may be required (related expenses to be covered by the employer)</p><br><p></p>
