</p><p><br>Job details</p><p>Employer: Herradura Farms Ltd.</p><p>Location of Employment: 16117 Hwy 552W, De Winton, AB T0L 0X0 (NE 2-22-1-W5, De Winton, AB T0L 0X0) (Rural area)</p><p>Salary: $22.00 to $24.00 / hour</p><p>Benefits: Alberta Blue Cross General, Subsidized accommodations available, Relocation costs covered by employer</p><p>Vacancies: 1</p><p>Terms and conditions of employment: Permanent, Full time (40-50 hours / week); Day, morning, weekends</p><p>Start date: As soon as possible</p><p>Duties:<br>• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers<br>• Develop work schedules and establish procedures<br>• Monitor animal health<br>• Co-ordinate competitive schedules and programs<br>• Prepare horses for show jumping competitions<br>• Handle horses<br>• Feed inventory<br>• Horse grooming<br>• Maintain livestock performance records<br>• Recognize and treat certain livestock health problems<br>• Formulate feeding program<br>• Perform general farm duties (clean stalls, mow lawn, maintain barn, repair shelters and outdoor water, harrow indoor and outdoor rings, manage manure removal, feed hay outside, manage supply)<br>• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment<br>• Train staff (care of horses and barn)</p><p>Area of Specialization: Horses being trained for show jumping competitions</p><p>Job requirements<br>Languages: English<br>Education: Not required<br>Experience: 2 years of related experience<br>Ability to Supervise: 1 to 2 people (general farm workers)</p><p>Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:<br>• Fast-paced environment<br>• Work under pressure<br>• Physically demanding<br>• Handling heavy loads (Up to 23 kg/50 lbs)<br>• Attention to detail<br>• Combination of sitting, standing, walking<br>• Standing for extended periods</p><p>Work Site Environment: Dusty, Outdoors, Odours<br>Personal Suitability: Organized, Team player<br>Equipment and Machinery Experience: Tractor, Feeding and watering system</p>
