Duties:

• Driving to the job site;
• Inspecting trucks and truck pumps (concrete pumps);
• Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts;
• Repairing damaged equipment parts;
• Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty vehicles;
• Cleaning and servicing of machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms;
• Performing major repair work when necessary;
• Consulting with other mechanics on smaller jobs; and
• Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems.

Requirements:

• Experience repairing and maintenance of concrete pump trucks;
• Knowledge of parts of concrete pump booms including electrical, hydraulics and specific pump parts
• Experience operating hand/pneumatic tools
• Understanding of computer testing technologies;
• Ability to lift heavy machinery;
• Knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment;
• Ability to work after-hours if required; and
• Good communication skills.
