</p><p>Alex’s Mobile HD Mechanic Ltd. is located in South Burnaby and we are currently looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic. We are a small family owned business located in Burnaby, BC. &nbsp;We opened our doors in 1979 doing strictly mobile jobs; in 1980 we moved to a Boundary Road location. &nbsp;We have since moved to 6960 Waltham Avenue where we have been for over 30 years.</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:<br></strong>– Inspect, repair, adjust and maintain forklifts, telehandlers, various pieces of heavy equipment as well as trucks and tractor-trailer equipment.<br>– Detect &amp; diagnose faults &amp; malfunctions<br>– Adjust, repair or replace defective parts, components or systems<br>– Test &amp; repair equipment<br>– Use computerized, hand &amp; power tools<br>– Perform routine maintenance<br>– Punctuality and a good attitude a must<br>– Some local mobile work required<br>– Must be able to work under high pressure situations as some times deadlines can be very tight<br>– Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle/equipment to the customer</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong><br>– Previous experience as a mechanic<br>– Knowledge of equipment<br>– Strong mechanical aptitude &amp; troubleshooting skills<br>– Deadline and detail oriented<br>– Ability to strive in a fast-paced environment<br>– Class 1 drivers license &amp; CVSE license a definite asset</p><p><strong>SALARY: </strong>$21-$28/hr and &nbsp;is dependent on experience</p>
