GREEN VALLEY FENCE is seeking to hire an experienced FOREMAN to supervise and assist with the installation of agricultural and commercial fences, mainly around the Vegreville-Two Hills area of Alberta and other locations, as required.<br>Job Duties: Determine lay-out plans and proper installation procedures required for each customer’s fence construction contract, provide instructions to the fencing crew, oversee the work performed, and assist with the building, installing or repairing different styles of fences, including barbed wire and chain-link, as per customer specifications. Must ensure that all safety practices are adhered to by the fence construction crew, and competently handle any issues that arise during construction.<br>Experience/Skills Required: Must have experience in fence construction; using a mechanical post-pounder, pounding posts, stringing wire and chain-link, stapling and alternate attachment methods, and building braces as required. Must have a valid driver's licence and the ability to drive a one-ton truck and trailer (to deliver fencing supplies and equipment) and be capable of operating a skid-steer. An agricultural background would be an asset. Must be physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all types of weather. Will be expected to travel often between job sites (staying away overnight when necessary). Must be drug and alcohol free, possess a positive attitude, and be a strong team leader with good communication skills.<br>Wages: Start at $28/hour (wages are negotiable, based on verifiable experience)
