The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:</p><p>• Inspect, measure and mark floor surfaces to be covered<br>• Lift and dispose of existing floor coverings and carpet remnants<br>• Prepare floors for installations<br>• Measure, cut and install underlay and underpadding<br>• Perform direct glue-down carpet installations<br>• Measure, cut and install new floor coverings (vinyl, hardwood, laminate, carpet) using hand or machine tools and materials<br>• Keep a safe, neat and clean workspace and job site by complying to all health and safety regulations and company policies<br>• Clean work area after successful completion of floor installation and ensure the area is safe in terms of slippery or hazardous floors</p><p>REQUIREMENTS<br>• Completion of high school<br>• Minimum 1 year of experience in floor installation, or experience in the construction sector<br>• Knowledge of hand tools and equipment<br>• Ability to handle heavy loads<br>• Good hand-eye coordination</p><p>WORK CONDITIONS<br>This is a full-time position compensated at $22.00/hour for 35-hour work week with occasional requirement for overtime with appropriate pay rate ($33.00/hr) applying after 44 hours.<br>Work location: 6189 McCracken Drive, Mississauga, Ontario L5V 1Y1. Please note that you will be mostly working around GTA at customers’ premises.</p>
